Alaska can be a dangerous place when vamps decide to visit.
You'll have to forgive the crude manner I've done this review tonight, I'm doing it from my Kindle Fire because I don't have access to my laptop right now! So I'm gonna make this short and sweet:30 Days of Night is one of those vampire movies that you just cannot forget. Based on the bloody graphic novel by Steve Niles, this flick delivers as much gore and fright as the book.
In a remote town in Alaska, the townspeople prepare for the month of no sunlight they regularly experience. What they don't know is that another group is preparing for this month as well.....a group of hungry beings that thrive in the dead of night.
As the bloodthirsty horde descends on the unsuspecting people, the sheriff (played by Josh Hartnett) takes it upon himself to save his town.
Creepy Factor:
4.58546 out of 5 pumpkins
This movie is the prime example of what vampires were meant to be. This movie is also an example of what timeless and consistently relevant special effects look like.
For a good scare and genuine vampire awesomeness, WATCH THIS FILM!!
