SHOCKTOBER! One month of horror movie reviews daily until Halloween!

Follow the breadcrumbs kids....we're journeying through the dark woods, past the forbidden cabin and down to the eerie lake where we will keep each other up all night with stories of terror!

The horror genre is a difficult one to master because, unlike other genres, it has to engage you mentally in order to do its job of scaring you.  The month of October, thanks to Halloween, is famous for being the season of horror so I've decided to try to deliver the fright to you too!

You have just stepped out of reality and into the Twilight Zone! For the next 30 days I will be taking you on a horror hayride through the corn maze of scary movies leading up to Halloween day.  As you journey with me through this haunted asylum, I may give you one movie per day or maybe more...that's the scary thing about horror, YOU NEVER KNOW!!  BWAH HAHAHAHAHA!!

I call this project "Shocktober" as an homage to what the CW (well, back when I was a child it was called WPIX) did in the 90s during October in that they would play a horror movie every night at 8pm all month long.

Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize your neighbourhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse's shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grisly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller

Sleep well children....and don't allow the hooded figure standing outside your second floor window alarm you.  He doesn't bit.....hard.
