SHOCKTOBER, DAY 28: WOLF CREEK

The thrill is in the hunt.

If you're an adventurer who likes backpacking and exploring new terrain, you may rethink your lifestyle after watching Wolf Creek (which is actually based on true events).

The plot is pretty straightforward and, therefore, not the driving reason for this being a good movie.  It's the bloody killing, the sense of "it can happen to me" and the feeling of "you can run but you can't hide" that make this movie what it is.

Three backpackers are trekking across the Australian wilderness when they are crossed by a seemingly very nice native who offers to help them by towing and repairing their broken down car.

After agreeing to let the burly man help them, they soon find out he may not be as friendly as he seems.

Creepy Factor:

3.48459 out of 5 pumpkins

Yes, the movie is predictable as far as its story....but what sets it apart is that the killer is a direct cross between Crocodile Dundee and Michael Meyers, which makes for a VERY entertaining hunter!

"Now this, THIS is a knife!"

This film shows us the real monsters out there are people.

Click here to see a trailer for the much anticipated sequel!

Happy hunting mates!
