The saga continues..... |
A long time ago (back in a primitive age where flying cars, swords made of pure energy and interplanetary travel was possible), in a galaxy far far away......
So it's been announced that J.J. Abrams will be directing the new Star Wars movie!!! He will also have the man who wrote both Empire Strikes Back & Return of the Jedi as a consultant (epic win)!!
Live long, and prosper....
This is exciting news, especially if you see what Mr Abrams has done in the sci fi genre & if you see how he brought new life to Star Trek. More Trekkies may get upset at this & may even say us Star Wars fans are just stealing him to make us as good as them....First off, Star Wars has always been superior (we don't need 80 thousand movies & 59 million generations to validate ourselves) and second, Abrams said himself that he was always more of a Star Wars guy.

Basically, he did Star Trek a favor by working on it. So here's what the Star Wars universe has to say to all the Trekkies about all this:
On a side note, I must admit that the first 3 Star Wars movies are my guilty pleasure. Jar Jar Binks was as useless as everyone says, but I really enjoyed everything else about the first trilogy. When watching those in conjunction with the digitally edited & remastered original trilogy, I can't help but thoroughly enjoy every minute of it!
The great & powerful fans of Star Wars (who have a MUCH greater understanding & dedication to the saga) will say that the first three films were an abomination...but as a regular everyday fan of the film's, and as a normal guy who really likes movies, I say the first three films were definitely a few levels down from the original trilogy but were still very good. After all, how can anyone truly expect any rendition of Star Wars to be as classic as the originals?
"Children...sit and watch a REAL movie about the galaxy."
I say this because even with Abrams taking the helm of the next Star Wars film (which will NOT be a reboot, but a continuation after Return of the Jedi) people are still skeptical after being punched in the gut with the second trilogy. I say Abrams will make Star Wars more watchable when he's done with it.
J.J. Abrams, I approve! If you can make a Star Trek movie interesting enough to watch for a non Trekkie (like myself), I believe you'll make new fans for Star Wars!
Enjoy the show below folks:
May the force be with you, always....
