Don't turn off those cameras just yet....
Just when you thought it was safe to enter a quarantined area (get it? Because Quarantine is an American remake of [REC]? Come on! That's gold!).
If you saw the watchable (but not great) Quarantine 2: Terminal, please do not make the mistake in thinking it's the remake of [REC] 2. This film brings the horror back to its roots in the apartment building that started it all.
In this freaky sequel to [REC], we are taken back to the same location where infected people are running rampant killing uninfected tenants and the government has locked the premises down. We are placed back in the apartment building immediately following the ending of the first installment when the Ministry of Health sends a representative in with some military personnel to investigate the bizarre happenings.
Unfortunately, while the representative has an idea of what's going on, the military personnel find that they are in over their heads.
Can this group make it out alive?

I really enjoyed this sequel and felt that it actually improved on the original in every way. I loved how it picked up immediately after the first film and how it took the method of recording and changed it a bit. While it still focused on being a found footage film, they added some POV (point of view) cameras spots where we get to see things through the helmet mounted cameras that the military men are wearing; so it feels as if you yourself are in the movie having the infected attack you!
Another change to the film was one that I personally liked but some may frown upon; there is a supernatural twist. We find that the origin of the infected has to do more with demonic activity than medical intervention, but I feel it was used very very well.
For a good scare, check this film out!
