Marlon Wayans defecated all over part one.....was Hollywood able to redeem the franchise they almost destroyed?

I gotta admit, I like Vin Diesel's movies. I think he's a great action star and can pull off some quality acting (watch A Man Apart for some acting but watch Find Me Guilty to REALLY see Vin Diesel in a role outside his comfort zone...and pull it off GREAT).
